While being a touch melodramatic, this video has a very dark, mystical quality. Many Nine Inch Nails videos focus mainly on the band but The Perfect Drug went in a a more abstract direction that proved to be a unique and morbid experience. With Trent Reznor as the twisted and creative front man, it's no surprise that Nine Inch Nails has produced so many videos, CDs and rock super stars such as Marilyn Manson and Richard Patrick from Filter.
